Another car smashed into my front and left my bumper and front lights dangling, really awful. It was on Saturday in Toorak and very difficult to find an open mechanic to fix my car. My girlfriend recommended I go to Richmond Automotive. I sent my car there at 1:00pm and Bill and George were done fixing and touching up my smashed car by 3:30pm. Bill was quick to assess the damage and told me on the spot what options I had. I opted for the more affordable option to just fasten everything back together and touched up the front to make it look alright, the outcome was pretty impressive for what was given to him, and he only charged me $350 which was so worth it and also done within 3 hours on a Saturday! Simply amazing having you guys open on that day in that location, so convenient as well next to East Richmond Station and the Chapel Street tram line nearby.

I would highly recommend. The mechanic helped me out when I was really in need. My front window was stuck and I couldn’t get it back up, he stopped what he was doing to help me right away and free of charge. A much nicer experience than the other garages I had visited before hand.

Legends!!!These guys were unable to help me with what I was after, however pointed me in the right direction and recommended another mechanic to help with the work. I had been driving around melbourne getting no where, being over quoted and taken the Mickey off. These guys are trust worthy and only happy to take the time to help, provided me the advice and a solution. My VW van has never driven so good, and was fixed at an extremely reasonable price in the end.

Gave these guys a call a few months ago as my brakes were squeeking. They organised to have a look the next day. I came back after they investigated and said it wasn't a major brake issue ,they are just noisy. I expected to pay for their time, however they didn't charge me! Very kind of them.

I gave these guys a call after seeing so many positive reviews. I don’t know much about cars and could have been fooled but Bill was very helpful & knowledgeable on the phone & when seeing the car explained the issue to me and explained how I could easily fix it myself. Great service. My car had various problems, and I took it to Richmond Automotive. It has been checked exhaustively and fixed all issues by these experienced and friendly mechanics. In addition, the mechanics are very supportive, and they even came to the place where I pulled over my car and fixed issues in the engine. Their service charge is very cheap compared to the services they provide.

Bill was incredibly helpful and didn’t charge me anything! I had a specific issue that I didn’t know how to solve and he spent time talking me through how to fix it over the phone. He even got me to send pictures and called me back. Then once we knew what it was he recommended who could fix it because it wasn’t what he did.If you have any question, honestly just give this guy a call!

When I had a complete engine failure in Melbourne, visiting from Sydney, Richmond Automotive was recommended to me by a trusted local. Bill and his crew looked after me, making me feel like I was with my most trusted and professional mechanics at home. Bill kindly stayed back after hours waiting for the tow truck, diagnosed the problem on the spot and ran me through all my options. Richmond Automotive went all the way to liaise with NRMA to arrange delivery of my vehicle back to Sydney as well. If I lived in Melbourne I would want Richmond Automotive looking after my car full time! Friendly and professional and efficient to the max, they are the best.
